Details 12-bed PCU in a Level III Trauma hospital Patient ratio of 4:1 Unit support includes 1 tech for the unit Patient population includes post-cath cases requiring TR band management and advanced pulmonary treatments Equipment includes GE monitors, Nova glucometers, and Pyxis medication dispensing Documentation system: Meditech Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Every other weekend required Floating in rotation with full-time staff and other travelers Requirements Active RN license — TN state license or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start) NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for PCU RNs Minimum 2 years of recent PCU experience required Experience with post-cath care including TR band management Experience with advanced pulmonary treatments and medication titration US SSN and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri) Additional Information Responsibilities include AIDET communication, completion of communication board, and medication teaching Charcoal gray scrubs required Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months American Traveler Job ID P-692476.
