Manager, Meaningful Gifts/Philanthropy
The Job/What You’ll DoThe Manager of Meaningful Gifts is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a diversified fundraising plan that energizes individual, foundation, and business donors to support the mission and vision of Solari. The Manager of Meaningful Gifts will be responsible for implementing donor cultivation. Works closely with Leadership to implement and execute strategies designed to support organizational needs and accelerate future growth. The Manager of Meaningful Gifts handles a variety of initiatives related to corporate, foundational, and individual giving and events.Responsibilities Responsible for developing Solari’s fundraising plan and infrastructure to meet required annual fundraising goals. Responsible to achieving annual fundraising goal established by Sr. Leadership. Develops major gift opportunities to match the needs of the agency with philanthropic interest of donors. Responds to major gift leads for follow-up and drafts correspondence to donors. Works proactively to network and expand portfolio. Conducts research and provides information on major gift prospects and donors. Prepares written materials such as visit strategies/briefings, correspondence, solicitations/proposals, pledge documents, and gift agreements. Initiates contacts with potential planned giving and endowment donors; identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding these individuals, adhering to the highest ethical standards, demonstrating empathetic disposition for end-of-life gifts, reflecting conveying sensitivity to the personal and family needs of the donors for their legacy commitments. Plans and executes an annual event to solicit annual gifts and increase community outreach. Community networking events/meetings, and donor tours. Maintains strong and accurate records of activities and prospect management. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Exposure to noise typical with office operations. Ability to hear and speak.
