Paralegal

We are working with a highly respected organization with a national footprint to search for a Paralegal. This is an opportunity to step into a hands-on litigation and compliance role where you'll gain exposure to the full lifecycle of legal matters, from investigation through resolution, while working closely with experienced in-house counsel.This role offers meaningful ownership of a litigation portfolio, direct exposure to trials, depositions, and mediations, and a collaborative, team-oriented environment with strong mentorship from leadership.If you're someone who enjoys digging into details, connecting the dots, and being a key player in legal outcomes, this is a unique opportunity to grow your career.Essential Duties & FunctionsManage a portfolio of litigation matters, including reviewing, investigating, analyzing, and resolving cases with appropriate escalationNegotiate and settle matters within defined authority levels, ensuring all post-settlement obligations are completedConduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and arguments that may impact case outcomesTrack and manage deadlines across all assigned matters to ensure timely executionServe as a records custodian, representing the company in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials (telephonic and in-person)Partner with outside counsel to support case progression, including approvals, documentation, and strategy discussionsCoordinate and respond to discovery requests (interrogatories, admissions, document production, etc.)Prepare for legal proceedings by collaborating with attorneys and organizing supporting materialsInvestigate account-level issues by leveraging internal systems and cross-functional collaborationAnalyze processes and identify potential risks, gaps, or trends that could lead to future litigationReview legal documents such as affidavits, verifications, and discovery responses for accuracy and completenessEnsure all activity is properly tracked within case management systemsSupport special projects and departmental initiatives, including training and process improvementsQualifications1–2 years of paralegal or relevant legal experience (litigation exposure preferred)Paralegal certification (NALA or NFPA) strongly preferredStrong ability to analyze legal matters and apply relevant laws and regulationsExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with attorneys, internal stakeholders, and external partnersHighly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesProactive mindset with the ability to identify issues, think critically, and recommend solutionsComfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentFor confidential consideration, please email careers@forgesc.com or apply directly.
