This position is responsible for hiring, scheduling, daily placement, inventory, documentation, and addressing day-to-day issues and concerns.We Are Currently Looking For aNoah's Ark - Park Services Supervisor - J1 StudentRoles & ResponsibilitiesRoles and Responsibilities:Supervisory DutiesSupervise the daily operations of the Park Services team and any other assigned departmentsLead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Noah’s Ark core valuesAct as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team membersEnsure compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe and productive environment for colleagues and guests.Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all Park Services positions and backfill these positions when neededParticipate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with Wisconsin lawEnsure daily sign-in sheets are completed and submitted each dayAssist with team scheduling and timekeeping activitiesDepartmental DutiesEnsure that the daily cleaning/nightly cleaning protocols are being completed according to Park standardsAudit restrooms, eating areas, and overall park cleanlinessPerform whatever duties are necessary to ensure park cleanlinessProactively monitor the Park for safety hazards (e.g. wet floors, tripping hazards, etc.)Maintain records of all work completed and safety inspectionsMaintain high standards of performance for all assigned areas of responsibilityEnsure compliance with all OSHA, DEP, ADA, and other applicable standards and state/local regulations.Ensure that all team members have necessary supplies to successfully perform dutiesAddress any escalated guest concerns and criticisms with a high degree of professionalism and propose solutions to deescalate the situation.Courteously resolve guest questions and concerns, and assist with lost childrenEnsure employees have necessary supplies to perform dutiesAll other duties and special projects assigned by leadershipLanguage: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Education And ExperienceHigh School education preferred equivalent work experience will be considered2+ years of previous Park Service, grounds, or housekeeping work experience desired1+ year of previous supervisory experienceRequirementsMust be at least 18 years of age to comply with Wisconsin Child Labor LawsAbility to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, open to closeMust possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving recordAbility to safely and efficiently operate motorized vehicles and equipmentAbility to comply with all uniform policiesMust possess strong attention to detail and desire to keep park clean and presentableAbility to safely and properly use a variety of cleaning equipment, including brooms, mops, and chemicalsMust display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with all park guidelinesMust possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional mannerPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, bend, or squat for long periods of timeAbility to remain on feet for majority of the workdayAbility to remain sedentary for periods of time, while using a computerAbility to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 50 pounds or moreAbility to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/toolsAbility to see details of objects that are more than a few feet awayWorking ConditionsFrequent exposure to all outdoor and indoor areas of the parkFrequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, pollen and other weather conditionsSubject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, highly populated areas, and exposure to various cleaning chemicalsSubject to bloodborne pathogens Proper PPE is required in these situations.Subject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activitiesTeam Member BenefitsWorking at Noah’s Ark is about making people happy!
