As a Software Engineering Manager (QSR Intelligence team), you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership and People ManagementLead and support a distributed team of engineers, fostering collaboration, accountability, engagement, and professional growthCreate a high-performing team culture centered on transparency, ownership, continuous improvement, and delivery excellenceProvide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to engineers while empowering teams to operate independently without micromanagementFacilitate effective communication and alignment across geographically dispersed teams and stakeholdersIdentify team risks, resource gaps, delivery concerns, and organizational blockers early and proactively drive resolutionPromote strong agile team dynamics and ensure consistent participation in Scrum ceremonies and delivery processesProgram and Delivery LeadershipOwn delivery execution and operational direction for the QSR Intelligence platformTranslate strategic business goals and product vision into actionable plans, milestones, sprint objectives, and team prioritiesCoordinate execution across feature teams, product teams, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery continuityDrive program momentum by establishing clear expectations, timelines, priorities, and accountability measuresEnsure teams consistently deliver incremental business value aligned to sprint goals and organizational objectivesMonitor progress, communicate status updates, escalate blockers, and provide transparency to leadership and stakeholdersSupport Program Increment (PI) planning activities and ongoing roadmap executionAgile and Cross-Functional CollaborationLead and actively participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and RetrospectivesPartner closely with product owners, architects, business stakeholders, and development teams to clarify priorities and requirementsHelp teams effectively break down complex initiatives into manageable deliverables and sprint commitmentsDrive collaboration between engineering and business teams to ensure successful execution and alignment with enterprise goalsEnsure adherence to Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), quality standards, and Definition of Done (DoD)Technical and Strategic OversightProvide technical leadership and guidance to support architectural alignment and delivery decisionsLeverage existing tools, platforms, and architectural standards to maximize delivery efficiency and scalabilityMaintain sufficient technical understanding to facilitate decision-making, remove obstacles, and support engineering teams effectively QualificationsProven experience leading and managing software engineering teams of 7+ developers in agile environments5+ years of software engineering management or technical leadership experience7–10 years of overall experience within software development organizationsDemonstrated success leading distributed or geographically diverse teamsStrong experience driving agile delivery, sprint execution, roadmap planning, and cross-functional coordinationAbility to lead engineers through influence, mentorship, and collaboration rather than direct oversightExceptional communication, organizational, stakeholder management, and team facilitation skillsExperience managing ambiguity, shifting priorities, and complex program execution The salary range for this role is $140,000 to $205,000 or the hourly equivalent.
