Bakery Manager

Job Purpose:The Bakery Manager at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bakery department. This role ensures the production of high-quality baked goods while maintaining efficient production schedules, managing inventory, and adhering to safety and cleanliness standards. The Bakery Manager will also lead and train a team of employees, fostering a positive work environment and providing excellent customer service.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the production of baked goods, ensuring quality and consistency.Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand.Maintain high standards of quality in all bakery products.Train and schedule employees, promoting a positive and productive work environment.Greet and assist customers, providing exceptional service and addressing inquiries.Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and ingredients as needed.Oversee budgeting and financial management of the bakery department.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the bakery.Implement and uphold food safety and sanitation regulations.Lead by example, demonstrating excellent leadership and communication skills.Adapt to a fast-paced work environment, including working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Benefits:Full Time - Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401k, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay (Additional Time & Half if worked), and Employee Discount.Required Education:A high school diploma or GED.Preferred Education:Degree or certification in culinary arts, bakery management, or a related field is a plus.Required Experience:Experience in overseeing production schedules and ensuring quality and production levelsExperience in training and scheduling employeesExperience in maintaining inventory and ordering suppliesExperience in budgeting and adhering to safety regulations and cleanliness standardsPreferred Experience:Experience in bakery operationsKnowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and equipmentExcellent leadership skills in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with food safety and sanitation regulationsStrong communication and customer service skillsExperience in inventory management and budgetingWillingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysRequired Skills and Abilities:Ability to maintain a positive work environmentCapability to greet and assist customers professionallyStrong organizational and multitasking skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in maintaining safety and cleanliness standards
