POSITION: Academic Teacher (FT, 10-month, based on FTE, Day) ASSIGNMENT: CTE - Incarcerated Education/Alternative High School Program SITE/BUILDING: Alternative High School Program, Yaphank, NY Riverhead Correctional Facility, Riverhead Yaphank Correctional Facility, Yaphank RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively engage students in the delivery of high-quality instruction that reflects the diverse backgrounds of the participants in an alternative setting Establish a supportive classroom environment that fosters the social-emotional learning of all students Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of all students Collaborate with colleagues and program partners in an integrated approach that utilizes various curricula and to create lessons aligned to current NYS learning standards START DATE: As soon as possible MINIMUM STARTING SALARY: $61,469.00 (B.A.) $66,427.00 (M.A.) Job Qualifications NYS Teacher Certification (Grade 7-12) Dual certification preferred, in any combination (English, Math, Science, Special Education, TESOL) Application Deadline:04/13/2026
