DescriptionJob Title:Parking AttendantDepartment:ParkingReports To:Parking ManagerStatus: SeasonalAge:16 years or olderSUMMARYThe primary purpose of a Parking Attendant is to direct incoming and outgoing traffic, instruct guests where to park, provide directions, and to present an excellent, friendly, professional first impression of the Knoebels Amusement Park. This is a seasonal position, reporting to the Parking Manager.Park's operational summer hours are typically Sunday through Tuesday 12pm to 8pm and Wednesday through Saturday 12pm to 9pm. During the parks season, evening and weekend hours are required. RESPONSIBILITIESDirect incoming and outgoing trafficDirect cars to park in designated areasProvide directions for guests entering the park and directions for guests leaving the parkProvide assistance in finding "lost" vehiclesTransport guests to designated pavilion/areasMake sure parking lot is secureKeep tram shelters clean and presentableKEY COMPETENCIESCandidate should possess strong communication skills, high degree of integrity, positive attitude, attention to detail and the ability to solve problemsCandidate must have a current valid driver's licenseCandidate should have the ability to build strong relationships with guests, provide a high level of guest service, and be an effective member of a teamExcellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracyStrong customer service skills, both internal and externalMaintain a positive attitudeExceptional communication skills while relating to people in a friendly, professional mannerSelf-motivated; acts without needing directionsPerform cleaning duties as needed to maintain a clean, safe work environmentThis job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of this job.
