This role plays a key part in ensuring financial integrity, supporting property operations, and communicating financial information to internal teams, owners, and investors. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned property portfolioBalance bank statements and prepare journal entriesAnalyze income and expense activity against budgetsPrepare spreadsheets to support general ledger activityEnter and process cash receipts and lease activityAssist with monthly ACH withdrawalsPrepare audit schedules and support audit requestsReview tenant balances and collaborate with leasing/residential staffPrepare annual property budgets in coordination with leasing/residential staffRespond to accounting-related questions from leasing staff and residentsPrepare and submit sales and use tax filingsMaintain fixed asset schedulesMonitor property cash flow and ensure sufficient funds for bill paymentAssist with financial reporting to investors and property owners Secondary Responsibilities Provide assistance to team members as requested Requirements:Education & ExperienceAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred (or equivalent education)Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience required; 5 years preferredPrior property management accounting experience preferredDemonstrated experience preparing financial statements requiredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate income and expenses for accuracyAbility to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlinesHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentEffective written and verbal communication skills with internal staff and residentsStrong work ethic and commitment to accuracy and timelinessTechnical SkillsMicrosoft Excel - intermediate level requiredStrong spreadsheet experience requiredDatabase experience preferredExperience with the following systems is a plus: RealPage Accounting (preferred)Creative Solutions (Fixed Assets)Compensation details: 0 Yearly SalaryPI716af5cac4a8-0940
