7-10 years of experience working as IBM Data Power admin Understanding of Data power architecture, understands various objects of data power (WSP, MPG, XML, firewall, AAA authentication, load balancer, policies etc.) Good understanding of various network zones & ability to setup Data Power device as per standards Hands on experience of migration virtual Data Power devices Hands on experience in setting up & configuring Data Power firmware on virtual devices Ability to apply firmware patches & perform device upgrades Ability to perform capacity planning and sizing of Data Power platforms Experience in managing certificates withing Data Power device Understanding of firewall, DMZ, network topology. Should be able to work with network, firewall team and external vendor team to troubleshoot connectivity issues Troubleshooting various Data Power deployment issues (checking logs, probe, and other ways to troubleshoot). Engage with vendors for product related issues Provide standard practices guidance for Data Power platform to concerned teams Great communication skills should be able to work independently and as a team.
