Aircraft Machinist - Worker

General DescriptionThis is job is at a Depot Level repair facility maintenance on types of aircraft, which include, but not limited to AV-8, C-130, C-2, E-2, EA-6B, F/A-18, H-1, H-53, H-60, MQ-8, P-3, P-8. F-35 and V-22. Military aviation platform experience is a plus.DutiesSet up and operate all types of conventional machines, computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines and related equipment in the manufacture, rework, and repair of aircraft parts and components. Set up and perform machining operations on conventional and CNC machine tools such as grinders, milling machines, lathes, and drills. Read and understand blueprints, drawings, sketches, work documents, aircraft technical documents, manuals, bulletins, and directives; produce assigned work in accordance with established standardsOther duties as assignedEducation/Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 4 years of aircraft machining experience preferred Must have experience on 2, 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centersMust be able to read, understand and interpret blueprints, drawing, sketches, work documents etc.Experience in heavy structure U.S. Military or related FAA or civil aviationMust have Military installation DEPOT level maintenance experienceUp to 25% travel may be requiredMust be a US CitizenMust be able to pass a NACI which could include a credit checkWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.Physical RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
