Structural Engineer (3+ Years Experience)

Streamline Engineering is seeking a Structural Engineer with 3+ years of experience who wants to take ownership of real projects, work directly with clients, and be part of a small team where strong engineering judgment matters. This is an opportunity to work on a wide variety of structural projects throughout California and across the country, including telecommunications towers, rooftop installations, equipment platforms, steel structures, concrete structures, masonry walls, and wood-framed buildings. You’ll have direct involvement in projects from initial site assessment through final construction documents and client coordination. What You Will Do · Perform structural analysis and design of telecommunications towers, rooftop installations, equipment platforms, and supporting structures. · Design and evaluate steel, concrete, masonry, and wood-framed structures. · Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, and construction documents. · Review existing structures and determine their capacity for proposed modifications. · Conduct field investigations and site visits throughout California. · Coordinate directly with clients, contractors, architects, and project managers. · Apply current building codes and industry standards, including CBC, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, TIA-222, and NDS. · Participate in project planning, problem-solving, and quality control reviews. Qualifications Required · Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. · EIT certification or California PE license. · 3 years of structural engineering experience. · Experience with structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures. · Strong understanding of CBC, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, and related design standards. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team. Preferred · California PE license. · Experience in telecommunications, utility, industrial, or existing-building projects. · Familiarity with structural analysis software and AutoCAD. · Experience performing field investigations and preparing structural assessment reports.
