Job Title: Project Engineer – Mechanical ConstructionLocation: Anaheim, CAIndustry: Mechanical Construction (HVAC / Piping / Plumbing)Position OverviewA leading mechanical contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful execution of HVAC, piping, and plumbing construction projects in the Irvine area. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with a Mechanical Engineering degree and at least one year of experience supporting mechanical construction projects.The Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to assist with project coordination, documentation, procurement, and schedule management throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Project Managers in the execution of mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeoutManage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentationCoordinate with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and field teams to ensure project milestones are metAssist with procurement of equipment and materials for HVAC, piping, and plumbing systemsTrack project schedules and help ensure deliverables are completed on timeMaintain organized project files, logs, and reportsParticipate in project meetings and communicate updates to internal and external stakeholdersSupport project closeout activities including punch lists, documentation, and turnover packagesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)1+ year of experience supporting mechanical construction projectsExposure to HVAC, piping, and/or plumbing systems within a construction environmentStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with construction management software is a plusPreferred ExperienceInternship or early career experience with a mechanical contractor or MEP contractorExposure to large commercial or industrial mechanical systemsBasic understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project workflowsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary $80K-$95KPerformance-based bonus potentialComprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchCareer advancement opportunities within a growing mechanical contractor
