Vendor Managed Inventory Specialist/Inside Sales

About the Role SMC is seeking a highly motivated and results driven individual that will provide a positive contribution to the organization by hunting and closing and cultivating new clients using a prospecting sales model, while working alongside the Company’s marketing and e-commerce teams. This individual will work within SMC's inventory management division, known as TraxMRO. This VMI specialist will build strong, positive relationships with potential clients by aggressively taking ownership of the opportunities and helping these customers understand the value SMC can provide to them. Candidates for this position should prioritize customer care, acquisition, and company profitability. Responsibilities of the VMI Specialist Desire to hunt and find new business through an outbound lead prospecting model Consistently meet and exceed assigned quota associated within assigned territory Execute multiple complex sales processes concurrently Employ a proven sales process to take prospects from initial interest, build business value, develop proof of concept, deliver custom proposals, and contract closure Provide and maintain an accurate rolling pipeline and track sales activity Work collaboratively with marketing, e-commerce and field sales teams to develop territory and strengthen pipeline Manage issues and returns of stocked items Receive and put away incoming orders Look for cost savings opportunities Communicate efficiently with customers, vendors, and other employees Miscellaneous activities to support continuous improvement projects Requirements of the VMI Specialist 1-2 years of closing business experience a plus Strong team player, particularly as it relates to being ethical, honest, and trustworthy within the team and organization Inside sales experience should be specific to pursuing the sale of a technology-oriented product or service in a business-to-business setting Track record of sales success and ability to close business effectively and independently Proven ability to meet and exceed measurable performance goals and metrics Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple demands with a deadline Proactive and creative ways to solve problems Desire and ability to have role expanded as the company grows Excellent presentation and negotiation skills Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for TraxMRO specalist Ability to work with basic computer systems Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite - including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Must be detail oriented Must be self-reliant with ability to work alone, or with a team Must have strong organizational skills Great communication skills, verbally and well written Must have clean driving record How to Apply Please submit your resume if this sounds like the position for you.
