Sr Manufacturing Engineer
Basic QualificationsRequires a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 months of job-related experience.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.Responsibilities For This PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support the Micro-Electronics value stream in a Low Volume, Medium Mix, High Value manufacturing facility for spaceflight hardware. The successful candidate will work in a small team environment and will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective manufacturing of high-quality products.Key Responsibilities:Provide engineering support for the identification, control, and disposition of nonconforming materialSupport manufacturing operations and provide effective communication to cross-functional teams during development, launch, and production phasesCreate, monitor, and control production processes, equipment, tooling, and documentationSupport the design and development of production toolingProvide process knowledge and training to production team membersEvaluate and disposition non-conforming materialPerform equipment installations, decommissioning, preventative maintenance, upgrades, modifications, and repairsDemonstrate the ability to learn and manage multiple processes and unique equipmentDrive continuous improvement of processes in a low rate production environmentSupport labor and tooling proposal estimatesUtilize basic CAD for design and documentation purposesSkills and Technical Requirements:Familiarity with MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38534 standards.Experienced with production processes including die attach (BESI/MRSI), flip-chip, gold and aluminum ultrasonic wire bonding, and mechanical screeningMaterials selection and design for MCM (Multi-Chip Module) manufacturingMicroelectronics packaging design and qualification testing techniquesProven experience in supporting a manufacturing environmentStrong ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teamsProficiency in creating and controlling production processes and documentationExperience in evaluating and addressing non-conforming materialsCapable of performing equipment-related tasks including installations and maintenanceDemonstrated ability to improve processes in a low rate production settingBasic CAD skills, preferably with CreoKnowledge of cleanroom, ESD, and FOD proceduresStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work effectively in a small team environmentIdentifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovationWhat you’ll experience:Technologies that aren’t just top-notch, they’re often top-secretA team of bold thinkers committed to exploring what’s nextOpportunities to gain new knowledge - as it’s discovered Workplace Options: This position is fully on-site.While on-site, you will be a part of the Scottsdale location facilityTarget salary range: USD $105,814.00/Yr. - USD $117,387.00/Yr.
