AWS Engineer (Contract | 3–6 Months)📍 Location: Remote 🕒 Duration: 3–6 Month Contract (high potential to go longer) 📅 Start: ASAPWe are seeking an experienced AWS Engineer to support a large enterprise client with cloud infrastructure engineering, automation, and security initiatives. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and supporting scalable AWS cloud solutions in a complex hybrid environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement cloud infrastructure, application architecture, and security architecture within AWSEnsure compliance with IT security policies, best practices, and enterprise standardsPartner with IT teams, leadership, and cloud vendors to build and support cloud hosting servicesDevelop automation tools and Infrastructure as Code solutions to improve scalability, availability, and operational efficiencyMonitor production and development environments and implement proactive reliability measuresCollaborate across infrastructure, cybersecurity, architecture, and product teams to deliver consistent solutionsSupport infrastructure projects, including endpoint security and network-related initiativesManage configuration and change control processes within enterprise environmentsPerform root cause analysis on production issues and drive corrective action plansCreate and maintain technical and end-user documentationRequired QualificationsStrong understanding of IT infrastructure, system administration, and application support/developmentHands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies and modern cloud computing trendsDeep expertise with:ALBEC2ECSS3VPCsVPN configurationsStrong knowledge of AWS security best practices, including IAM roles/policies and secure VPC designExperience developing Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormationAbility to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across hybrid on-prem and AWS environmentsExperience designing cloud architecture solutions aligned to enterprise business needsAbility to manage multiple concurrent IT projects across the full project lifecycleKnowledge of enterprise networking concepts including routing, switching, remote access, proxy, and securityExcellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skillsExperience creating both technical and non-technical documentationPreferred ExperienceEnterprise cloud migration initiativesHybrid infrastructure environmentsAutomation and operational efficiency improvementsWorking in fast-paced, highly regulated environments
