The Line Cooks and Prep Cooks play a key role in preparing and executing menu items with consistency, accuracy, and care — ensuring every plate reflects the high standards Big Bad Breakfast is known for.Availability: Must have consistent availability on weekends, including Friday through Sunday, and be available to work during high-demand periods such as football games, graduations, and other peak events. Line CookKey Responsibilities:Prepare and cook menu items according to BBB recipes and specificationsMaintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistencySet up, stock, and maintain cleanliness of station throughout serviceEnsure all food products are properly labeled, dated, and rotatedFollow all safety, sanitation, and food-handling proceduresWork efficiently during peak hours while maintaining composure and focusCommunicate clearly and work closely with fellow cooks, prep team, and managementAssist with prep, cleaning, and closing duties as assignedKey Qualifications:1+ year of line cook experience preferred (breakfast or short-order experience a plus!)Strong cooking skills and understanding of kitchen operationsExcellent time management and multitasking abilitiesDependable, team-oriented, and professional attitudeAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgencyMust be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbsPrep Cook Key Responsibilities: The Prep Cook is responsible for ensuring all food items are prepared, portioned, and ready for service according to Big Bad Breakfast's high standards of quality and consistency.Prepare ingredients and recipes according to established specificationsWash, chop, measure, and store ingredients properlyFollow daily prep lists and prioritize tasks to meet service demandsMaintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, walk-ins, and storage spacesLabel, date, and rotate all food products to maintain freshness and food safetyAssist line cooks and other team members during busy service periodsAdhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelinesCommunicate effectively with kitchen staff and managementKey QualificationsPrevious prep or line cook experience preferred, but we'll train the right personStrong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniquesAbility to follow recipes and maintain consistent qualityDependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent teamwork and communication skillsMust be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbsWhy You'll Love Working at BBBFun, fast-paced, and supportive team cultureOpportunities for growth and advancement within our kitchensEmployee meals and discountsCompetitive hourly pay
