Senior Payroll Project Manager / Time & Attendance SMEW2 Contract – through 12/31/26Location: Culver City, CAPay: $110/hourJoin a global leader in entertainment and media production known for creating and distributing world-class film, television, and digital content enjoyed by audiences worldwide.We are seeking a Senior Project Manager / Time & Attendance Subject Matter Expert to lead large-scale workforce management and payroll transformation initiatives within a highly complex, unionized environment. This role combines strategic program leadership with deep functional expertise in payroll, timekeeping, and systems integration to ensure accurate time capture, compliant pay calculations, and seamless payroll operations.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram & Project LeadershipLead enterprise-wide Time & Attendance transformation initiativesManage project governance, timelines, risks, and executive-level reportingPartner with internal stakeholders and third-party system integratorsDrive Agile delivery processes including sprint planning and executionTimekeeping & Payroll SMEInterpret and operationalize Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs)Configure and validate complex pay rules including:Daily and weekly overtime6th/7th day premiumsMeal penaltiesShift differentials and premium payGuarantees and minimum call rulesTurnaround and rest period requirementsEnsure compliance with union agreements and regulatory requirementsRequirements & Functional DesignFacilitate workshops with business stakeholders and functional SMEsGather and document detailed functional requirements and process flowsIdentify process gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunitiesTranslate business needs into scalable system configurationsSystems & IntegrationProvide expertise across Time & Attendance, Payroll, and HCM platformsSupport integration design and validation between systemsEnsure data integrity and alignment across platformsData, Testing & ReconciliationAnalyze payroll and timekeeping data for accuracy and completenessDevelop testing strategies including parallel payroll validationPerform reconciliation between timekeeping and payroll outputsSupport audit readiness and compliance initiativesChange Management & Stakeholder EngagementLead stakeholder communications and cross-functional alignmentSupport training, adoption, and organizational change effortsServe as a trusted advisor to leadership teamsQualifications10+ years of experience in payroll, time & attendance, and system implementationsDeep experience working in unionized environmentsHands-on experience with UKG Pro, Workday, Infor, or similar platformsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skillsProven leadership managing large-scale transformation programsPreferred QualificationsExperience within entertainment or other highly unionized industriesAgile project delivery experienceExperience partnering with system integratorsPayroll audit and compliance expertisePlease submit your resume in Word or PDF format to be considered.
