Director, People & Labor Relations📍 United States (Utah or California) | Healthcare Services | Multi-Site OperationsA rapidly growing healthcare organization is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director, People & Labor Relations to build and lead the labor relations function across a complex, unionized environment.This role will serve as the organization’s labor relations subject matter expert, partnering closely with HR, Legal, Compliance, and Operations leadership to develop and execute a long-term labor strategy that supports operational excellence and workforce stability.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and scale the enterprise labor relations functionLead labor strategy, union engagement, bargaining prep, and grievance managementDevelop governance structures, playbooks, dashboards, and reporting processesPartner with executive leadership on labor risk management and organizational readinessCoach leaders and HR teams on union interactions, investigations, and labor best practicesStrengthen labor-management partnerships across multiple sites and bargaining unitsQualifications10+ years of labor relations experience in unionized environmentsHealthcare or skilled nursing industry experience strongly preferredProven success leading complex negotiations, grievances, and arbitrationExperience building or transforming labor relations infrastructure at scaleStrong executive presence, strategic thinking, and communication skillsAdvanced degree or J.D. preferredWhat We’re Looking ForA collaborative and proactive labor relations leader who can balance strategy with execution, influence at the executive level, and create scalable processes in a fast-growing organization.Travel required based on business needs.
