Responsibilities:
- Develop and write CNC programs for various machines using CAM programming software
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to fabricate parts according to specifications
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize machining processes
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions of finished parts
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC programs or machine operations
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role
- Proficiency in CAM programming software and CAD/CAM systems
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, including milling, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and precision measuring instruments
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls and CNC machine operation
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of machine tooling and fixtures
Skills:
- Proficient in CAM programming software for creating CNC programs
- Experience operating CNC milling machines and other machining equipment
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM systems for designing parts and creating toolpaths
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes
