Job Title: Front Office AgentDepartment: Guest Services Front OfficeReports to: Senior Manager of Guest OperationsJob SummaryThe Front Office Agent will generally be the first Fernbank Museum employee that guest encounter. It is therefore imperative that all employees in the Front Office be polite, courteous, and professional at all times. Agents must always display a genuine concern for the needs of all visitors and must be willing to exhaust all efforts to ensure that each museum guest has a joyful and memorable visit. Agents must also possess the necessary skills for completing transactions accurately including counting monies received, as each agent is responsible for balancing sales and revenue for their drawer at the end of each day.FunctionsSelling general admission tickets, annual museum memberships and any other special events or programs that the museum offers, in person and over the phoneProviding excellent service to each guestAnswering questions and directing visitors as neededMaintaining a working knowledge of all museum programmingMaintain the appearance of the Front LobbyAdditional duties as instructed by the Front Office Supervisor and Senior ManagerExperience Requirements1 year of face-to-face customer service experienceFlexibility in availability and weekly schedulingAbility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays1 year experience in cash handling and processing credit card transactionsAble to pass a Cash Handling Aptitude AssessmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentSkills And AttributesSimple typing or keyboard experienceBasic computer and internet knowledgeFamiliarity with Outlook 365Good oral and written communicationDetail-oriented and organizedAbility to interact professionally and courteous with all museum guests and staffMust have a positive attitude and the ability to problem solve
