Dog Daycare Coordinator

As our Dog Daycare Coordinator, you are vital to the operations of our company! Your main priority is to provide a fun, challenging and growth-oriented environment for our dogs.

** The Basics **
Supervise groups of dogs in the daycare area at all times to ensure a safe environment.
Patience, empathy and awareness will be needed in this role.
Much of the day is on your feet with dogs under your feet, being able to react quickly is needed.
You will receive on-the-job training that includes puppy socialization, dog body. language, reinforcing good play skills, proper dog communication, positive reinforcement training and basic learning theory.
** The Responsibilities **
Continuously interact with our daycare dogs, with lots of attention and care.
Recognize behavioral issues & address proactively in a timely and effective manner.
Ensure daycare areas are continually monitored & kept free of messes by immediate and continual spot cleaning throughout the shift.
Daily cleaning and sanitizing play equipment, floors, beds, walls and lobby areas.
Prepare notes of dogs behavior etc. for other staff as necessary.
Promptly clean up any potty/bathroom accidents.
Release dogs from daycare in the afternoon.
Administer occasional medications.
Assist in dog training-basic obedience commands.
Assist with social media by gathering content (photos & videos).
** The Requirements **
A love for the pet care industry.
Previous customer service experience and capability of communicating with clients, staff and vendors.
Familiar with dog breeds, and have understanding how to interact with dogs of all sizes.
The majority of tasks assigned will require you to stand on your feet for several hours per day, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, walk up and down stairs; handle extra small and/or large dogs, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Capable of working in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment with barking, distractions and general noise.
Detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task, deal with starting and stopping tasks when necessary.
Exposure to solvents, disinfectant, sanitation chemicals, dog dander, saliva, urine, feces, sharp puppy teeth, and nails can and will come in contact with hands, skin, and clothing.
Comfort working with little supervision and as well as collaborating when needed
Ability to be flexible with added additional tasks as needed.
