Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Associate or Experienced Quality Engineer to join our Fabrication Quality Team located in Everett, WashingtonWe are looking for an individual who is passionate about problem solving, engaging with the production system, and doing complex data analysis. Quality Engineers supports existing production through process improvement techniques involving defect reduction, verification system design and improvements, and ensures compliance to requirements. Our quality engineers get involved in complex engineering and production challenges and have a critical role in the continuous improvement of our quality management system, products, and production system.We are committed to provide our team with opportunity for growth in a stable work environment. We encourage every teammate to feel empowered to bring their best through creativity and innovation as this drives a positive culture through transparency, safety, quality, and respect.Position Responsibilities:Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentationIntegrates contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentationDevelops quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirementsConducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activitiesParticipates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designsPerforms analysis and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Provides material review dispositions for non-conformancesAnalyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actionsPerforms benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achievedWorks under general supervisionBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor's degree or higher in an ABET accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, or related field3+ years of experience working in a quality job role3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, Boeing specifications (BAC), change, design)3+ years of experience working with Quality and/or Safety Corrective Action/Preventive Action, Root Cause Corrective ActionPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience, and at least considered an intermediate user, with office tools such Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Experience with utilizing analytic skills: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sourcesExperience with Engineering Process Improvement Methods: knowledge of producibility and process improvement methodologies (e.g., statistical process control (SPC), Six-Sigma)Experience leading cross-functional teamsExperience working with Quality Standards such as ISO9001, AS9100, ISO1400Ability to present technical findings to various levels of leadershipDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria are met as outlined in our policies.Union:This is a union- represented position.Total RewardsAt Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
