The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Duties And ResponsibilitiesManage and mentor a team of accounts receivable clerks, setting performance goals and providing ongoing training and feedbackMonitor and report on accounts receivable metrics, such as aging reports and DSO, using data-driven insights to identify areas for improvementCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, and operations, to ensure accurate billing and collections and a seamless customer experienceMaintain accurate and complete records of accounts receivable transactions, preparing reports and analysis as neededEnsure compliance with accounting principles and financial reporting requirementsParticipate in the development and implementation of process improvements and automation initiativesEducational Background / Work ExperienceA bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or related accounting functions, with a track record of success in managing a team and meeting or exceeding performance metricsExperience in the transportation and logistics industry is a plusSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues at all levelsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decision-makingKnowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirementsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / ProcessesSupervisory Responsibilities (if Any)This position will be responsible for managing a team of accounts receivable clerks.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with large, complex customers in the transportation and logistics industryFamiliarity with process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six SigmaExperience working in a global or multinational companyLanguage SkillsFluent in English (oral and written)Computer LiteracyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required.Familiarity with accounting software, such as Oracle or SAP, is a plus.For this position, the expected base pay range is $81,000.00 – $93,000.00 .
