Maintenance Supervisor 3rd Shift 10 pm to 645 am

Maintenance Supervisor – 3rd Shift Madison, Alabama Lead Maintenance. Drive Uptime. Build a High-Performing Team. We are partnering with a well-established automotive manufacturer to hire a Maintenance Supervisor on 3rd Shift. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for leading maintenance operations, developing a high-performing team, and ensuring equipment reliability across a fast-paced production environment. This position is ideal for a technically strong leader who can step in, stabilize operations, and drive measurable improvements in uptime, safety, and overall plant performance. What you will be doing Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and team leaders, building a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Oversee daily maintenance operations, including staffing, scheduling, and shift priorities to support production demands Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime Ensure consistent equipment uptime and support efficient, stable production flow Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions Lead and sustain lean manufacturing initiatives, including Toyota Production System principles, standard work, and waste reduction Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards while supporting audits and investigations Coordinate cross-functional communication with production, engineering, and support teams to drive plant performance Support KPI tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance function What you will be working on Automated manufacturing and high-volume production equipment Robotics, PLC-controlled systems, and conveyor operations Preventive and predictive maintenance systems Plant reliability, uptime improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives What you bring Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment At least 1 to 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a maintenance setting Strong troubleshooting ability across electrical and mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize work, and manage performance in a fast-paced environment Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Preferred experience Experience with PLCs, robotics, and automated manufacturing systems Background in automotive manufacturing environments Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Toyota Production System methodologies Technical degree, skilled trades certification, or equivalent hands-on experience Schedule 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM to 6:45 AM Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs Why this opportunity stands out This role sits at the center of plant performance.
