Roles and Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
Own and execute full-cycle recruitment including sourcing, posting, screening, interviewing, and extending offers.
Write and maintain accurate job descriptions and job postings.
Partner with hiring managers to understand current and future staffing needs.
Coordinate, track, and process internal transfers and promotions.
Partner with the other HR Generalist to track signing bonus and referral bonus payments.
Lead New Hire Orientation and onboarding activities to ensure a welcoming and consistent new hire experience.
Ensure new hire documentation is completed timely and accurately.
Provide support and guidance to hiring managers throughout the onboarding process.
Manage the boot reimbursement program, including policy communication, tracking, and approvals.
Maintain accuracy in applicant tracking and HRIS systems.
Assist with HR reporting and metrics related to recruitment and retention.
Maintain consistency in documentation, offer letters, and employment records.
Ensure recruiting and onboarding practices align with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Stay informed on changes to employment laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance in recruitment and onboarding practices.
Benefits and Wellness Administration
Meets one-on-one with associates to review and recommend internal and external benefit programs best suited for their individual circumstances and optimize their understanding.
Process benefit changes in HRIS and vendor systems, then works closely with the other HR Generalist to ensure information related to benefit changes flows over for payroll.
Reconcile and pay monthly benefit invoices.
Plan and communicate employee wellness initiatives such as biometric health screenings, lunch and learn seminars, fitness programs at the YMCA, etc.
Team Support
Assist with the execution of the HR compliance calendar, including delivery of NYS Prevention of Harassment training and other required programs.
Provide general support for HR department projects and initiatives.
Stay late at least once per month to provide visibility and support to night shift employees.
Qualifications
High School diploma required
Associates degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Management, Communications, Accounting or related field preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience in Human Resources preferred
Experience with ADP Workforce Management HRIS/Payroll software a plus
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex administrative processes, projects, with many initiatives taking place simultaneously in conjunction with day-to-day activities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
High energy level, motivated, goal/results oriented, self-starter, analytical, and creative
Demonstrated computer skills, including MS Office Suite with an emphasis in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams
Salary
$62,400 - $70,000 a year
