Junior JAVA Developer

*Job Summary* Join our software team as a Junior Java Developer and help build, test, and maintain reliable applications. You’ll contribute to backend systems and web development, collaborate through the software development life cycle (SDLC), and grow your skills in application design and software engineering. This is a paid position. *Duties*

• Develop and maintain Java applications, backend systems, application programming interfaces (APIs), and web services.
• Support RESTful API and microservices development; contribute to system design, scalability, and distributed systems.
• Work with relational databases, SQL, and database design; assist with debugging and unit testing.
• Collaborate in Agile software development and Scrum, using version control and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
• Your impact: By building and testing dependable application features, you help users access consistent, useful software.

*Skills*

• Essential: Foundational Java, object-oriented programming (OOP), software development, debugging, and unit testing knowledge; familiarity with SQL, APIs, web development, and version control.
• Preferred: Hibernate, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, AWS, Azure, Linux, Git, GitHub, Eclipse, or Agile methods.
• Additional exposure to JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, HTML, CSS, Node.js, Python,.NET, ASP.NET Core, ASP, Entity Framework, WCF, SOAP, MVC, IIS, Visual Studio, TFS, SVN, SSRS, SSIS, T-SQL, PL/SQL, XML, JSON, XSLT, AJAX, Bootstrap, Drupal, Bash, or shell scripting is welcome.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, distributed computing, software design, application development, UI (user interface), front-end development, and UML (Unified Modeling Language) is helpful.
