Our goal is flexibility for you in planning your schedule.Essential FunctionsThe LPN is responsible foradministration of all medications and treatments (except those specifically designatedfor an RN) during their shift, according to the established medical and nursing care plan. Works under the direction of the Head/ChargeNurse to provide optimumnursing care to all residents ofthe unit.Continuously evaluates behavior, symptoms, reactionsand progress of residents and discusses findings with the NurseManager/Charge Nurse.Administers and documents all medications according to established policies and procedures, physicianorders, and Department of Health regulations.Performs all treatments according to physician's specific order and establishedpolicies and procedures.Discusses the need to discontinueor change medicationfortreatment with the Nurse Manager/ Charge Nurse.Orders prescribed medications, notifiespharmacy of discontinued medications: and ensures accuracy of medications and dosages when received from pharmacy.Education and ExperienceFormal EducationGraduated an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing Experience<1 yearLicense, Registration, Certification Requirements:Current New York State Licensed Practical Nurse License, Eligibility to work in United States
