Fire Sprinkler Fitter

Summary Responsible for the installation, assembly, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects; ensures systems are installed according to NFPA standards, project specifications, and company quality and safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Install, assemble, and maintain fire sprinkler piping, fittings, and devices according to plans and specifications Cut, thread, bend, and join pipes using hand and power tools Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications Assist with pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning of sprinkler systems Coordinate with foremen, other trades, and field personnel to ensure project schedule adherence Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training
