SummaryThis position cares for patients before, during and after their electrophysiology procedure, including Pacemaker, ICD, CRT, Leadless devices and SVT, AFIB, AV node, Aflutter, VT PVC ablations, lead extraction and Watchman procedures. This includes pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of procedural process, post-procedure care and patient education.$15,000 Sign-On Bonus Available*ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:(25%)*Performs nursing care of the device implant, ablation, lead extraction and watchman patients(25%)* Assisting with scrubbing, circulating cases and sterically dropping supplies on procedural tray(25%)* Records all pertinent information appropriately the EMR(25%)* Managing operating systems, equipment and supplies (Cardiolab, Micropace, Claris)Certifications and LicensuresCredential: RN: Registered NurseEquivalent Experience: Knowledge of nursing technique as normally acquired through completion of an associate's degree in nursing culminating in licensure as a RN. ACLS certified. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling or crouching.Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Must follow MyMichigan Health bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required.Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake.Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling. May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis.Physical Demand Level: MediumMust be able to occasionally (0-33% of the workday) lift or carry 21-50 lbs., frequently 34-66% of the workday 20 lbs. and or Walk/Stand/Push/Pull of Arm/Leg controls and constantly (67-100% or the workday) 10 lbs.This position requires staff to wear Lead during the procedure.
