Backed by one of the largest North American infrastructure funds, Cologix's experienced leadership team, certified staff and commitment to ESG initiatives help form a culture that values our people, our environment and our clients.About the Position:You will be responsible for the integration and commissioning of data center critical infrastructure telemetry within our Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software. You’ll provide post integration troubleshooting and support to data center operations teams for device alarms and errors.What you do daily:Conduct commissioning activities for EPMS/BMS systems in data centersDevelop, maintain and verify standardized point and alarm lists by equipment type (i.e UPS, Generator, PDU, etc)Implement telemetry checkouts in commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists for Level 4, and Level 5 systemsReview and evaluate design documents, submittals, and equipment specificationsConduct site inspections, functional performance tests, and system verificationsWitness testing of all equipment during commissioning and validate sequence of operationsWork closely with project teams, including contractors, engineers, and data center operators, to maintain scheduleDiagnose and resolve system performance, reliability, and safety issuesDocument results/findings and generate comprehensive commissioning reports for DCIM integrated equipmentEnsure adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulationsAttend project meetings and offer technical expertiseUtilize your skillset with MQTT, Modbus, SNMP and BACnet communication protocols to communicate with critical infrastructure in our data centersIntegrate DCIM designated devices (generator, UPS, power meter, BMS, leak detection, environmental sensors, etc.) to DCIM software platformUtilize a bulk device manager (BDM) to import the same points and alarms for several like devicesAssist in gathering DCIM-relevant device information such as communication protocols, registers, MIB files, etcEnsure DCIM Systems are operating as designed to protect the data center, capture power usage, calculate available capacity, and provide meaningful, timely alarms, notifications, and reports to end usersPrepare and maintain DCIM technical documentation, including standard data point and alarm lists per device typeValidation and testing of device and alarm dataCoordination with cross functional partners to ensure DCIM data qualityAssign and configure device network settingsAnalyze and resolve production issues independently and as a member of a cross functional teamWork quickly and closely with fellow DCIM, operations and IT team membersWhat makes you a good fit: (Qualifications)Experience with critical monitoring and control systems, and support for critical facilitiesExperience with DCIM and/or SCADA softwareMSQL Server Experience a plusExperience with DCIM, EPMS, and BMS (Automated Logic, Tridium, Niagara, Delta) systems a plusExperience and understanding of MQTT, Modbus, SNMP, BACnet, TCP/IP communication protocols, as well as basic network troubleshooting a plusAbility to determine and integrate analog and digital datapoints critical to operational insightKnowledge of critical facility networking, mechanical and electrical systemTechnical aptitude with attention to detail and an ability to learn quickly and autonomouslyBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceAbility to work flexible hours with 25% travel to on-site data centersNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
