If you enjoy partnering with subject matter experts, simplifying complex systems and processes, and creating training people actually use, this is an opportunity to make a visible impact in a mission‑driven organization.In this onsite, 6‑month contract role, you’ll shape onboarding, systems training, compliance, and process‑based learning that supports day‑to‑day operations and helps teams deliver better service across the organization.What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll design, develop, and maintain learning materials that help employees understand systems, policies, and processes.Key responsibilities include:Designing and developing training in multiple formats (instructor‑led training, e‑learning, job aids, quick reference guides, videos, and documentation)Applying adult learning principles to create clear, engaging, and practical trainingDeveloping learning objectives, outlines, storyboards, and assessmentsCreating scenario‑based knowledge checks and applied learning activitiesPartnering with HR, subject matter experts, and leaders to gather content and understand training needsSupporting onboarding, systems training, policy, procedure, and compliance initiativesUpdating training materials as systems, processes, and regulations changeSupporting the Learning Management System (LMS), including content organization and feedback reviewUsing learner feedback to continuously improve training effectivenessWhat We’re Looking ForYou don’t need to be flashy, just clear, organized, and thoughtful about how adults learn.A strong fit will have:A Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Training, Education, HR, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Experience designing training for adult learners in a professional settingWorking knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theoryStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesNice to have (not required):Experience supporting internal learning or L&D teamsFamiliarity with e‑learning tools (Articulate, Camtasia, Adobe, etc.)Experience working with Learning Management SystemsExperience in nonprofit, public sector, or housing environmentsA relatable, engaging facilitation styleAbout Butler Metropolitan Housing AuthorityButler Metropolitan Housing Authority (BMHA) provides safe, affordable housing and supportive services to individuals and families throughout Butler County.
