AppleOne values integrity, innovation, and collaboration in fostering long-term relationships.Controller | Manufacturing & DistributionLocation: South King County, WAOverviewOur client, a growing manufacturing and distribution company, is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting and finance operations while partnering closely with ownership and operational leadership.This is a highly visible role for someone who enjoys improving processes, creating structure, increasing financial visibility, and helping support long-term business growth. The environment is operationally driven and fast-paced, requiring someone who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.The right person will be comfortable stepping into an environment that needs stronger controls, streamlined reporting, improved operational flow, and leadership within the accounting function.Key Responsibilities• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes• Oversee AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, inventory, and cost accounting functions• Prepare and review financial statements, reporting packages, forecasts, and cash flow projections• Improve accounting processes, reporting visibility, and internal controls• Partner with ownership and operational leadership on business decisions and financial analysis• Support inventory management, costing, and operational reporting accuracy• Oversee accounting system integrity and process improvements• Coordinate external audits, tax support, and compliance activities• Develop scalable procedures and accounting structure to support company growth• Mentor and support accounting staffWhat We’re Looking For• Strong accounting and financial management background within manufacturing, distribution, construction, infrastructure, or other operationally driven environments• Experience with inventory, cost accounting, forecasting, and process improvement• Ability to work both strategically and hands-on• Strong operational mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions• Experience working closely with ownership, executives, and operations teams• Strong ERP systems experience required• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills• CPA is welcomed but not requiredAdditional Information• Full-time onsite position• Highly visible leadership role• Opportunity to make a meaningful operational impact within a growing organization• Compensation package will be commensurate with experience, operational background, and overall fit
