Structural Designer (Remote)

Our client is seeking an experienced Structural Designer with strong Smart 3D (S3D/SP3D) experience to support the design of major petrochemical, LNG, refining, and industrial facilities.This is a fully remote contract opportunity supporting multidisciplinary EPC projects through detailed engineering and design.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain structural 3D models using Hexagon Smart 3D (S3D/SP3D).Produce structural steel and reinforced concrete design deliverables, including general arrangements, plans, sections, details, and material take-offs.Coordinate closely with structural engineers and other engineering disciplines including piping, civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation.Participate in model reviews, interdisciplinary coordination, and clash resolution activities.Ensure all deliverables comply with project specifications, client standards, and applicable industry codes.Incorporate vendor information and engineering revisions into project models throughout the design lifecycle.Required Qualifications8+ years of structural design experience supporting petrochemical, LNG, refining, chemical processing, or heavy industrial projects.Minimum 5 years of strong hands-on experience using Hexagon Smart 3D (S3D/SP3D).Proven experience producing construction-quality structural steel design deliverables.Experience working in a multidisciplinary EPC environment.Strong understanding of industrial structural design standards and drafting practices.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.Experience supporting large EPC projects from FEED through detailed design.Experience supporting LNG, petrochemical facilities, refineries, or other large industrial capital projects.
