Quality & Test Engineer | High-Growth Energy Technology CompanyAustin, Texas | 5 days onsiteWe're working with a high-growth energy technology company looking to add a Quality & Test Engineer to support its manufacturing scale-up.This is a great opportunity for an engineering generalist who wants to build deeper experience in quality. You do not need to come from a traditional quality engineering background. They’re open to candidates coming from mechanical, manufacturing, test, process, supplier quality, or similar engineering roles.You’ll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers on everything from inspection and root cause analysis to process control and component testing.What you’ll be working on:Inspection plans, acceptance criteria, and work instructions for fabricated and assembled componentsRoot cause analysis, CAPA, and nonconformance investigationsGD&T, tolerance stack-ups, Cpk, SPC, and process capabilitySupplier quality, source inspections, supplier audits, and first article inspectionsFunctional, performance, and environmental testingDesign and process FMEAsQuality documentation, traceability, and continuous improvementHelping build and scale quality processes as the company growsWhat they’re looking for:BS in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline2-5 years of engineering experienceExperience with GD&T, basic statistics, and root cause methodologies such as 5-Why or fishboneAbility to read and mark up engineering drawings and CAD modelsStrong written communication and documentation skillsInterest in quality engineering and working in a fast-moving, high-growth environmentExperience in regulated manufacturing is a plusThis could be especially interesting for someone who wants the opportunity to help build quality processes rather than simply step into an established system.Please note: This role is 5 days onsite in Austin, Texas.
