Is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives and policies of the Department and the Hospital.QualificationsResponsibilities:Education Required• Must complete in-house orientation program• High school graduation or equivalent required.Experience And Skills• Excellent interpersonal skills• Speaks, reads and writes English• Minimum of one year nephrology technician required• Experience in acute care Dialysis setting preferredLicense/Certifications• Certification by the Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing and Technology (BONENT) or Certification by the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT)• BLS certification for the Health Care Provider by the American Heart AssociationWorking ConditionsOther information:Working Conditions• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn• Primarily standing.• Ability to bend, transport patients from wheelchair and stretcher to dialysis chair and bed.• Able to lift 50 lbs.
