Design Engineer with Creo

Job Description:The Design Engineer (Creo) will be responsible for developing and delivering conceptual and detailed designs for automotive components using Creo. The role involves working independently on product design, creating 3D models and manufacturing drawings, and supporting new product development (NPD) activities.The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet functional, manufacturing, and quality requirements.Roles & Responsibilities:Develop concept and detailed designs using Creo (Part, Assembly, Surfacing)Design and model sheet metal and plastic componentsCreate and maintain 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&TApply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principlesSupport New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle activitiesWork on:Drafting, dimensioning, and tolerancingPrototyping and design validationEngineering Change Notices (ECN)PPAP documentationPerform design analysis, stack-up studies, and optimization (VAVE)Support tooling, fixture, and gauge designCollaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM)Utilize Windchill / PLM systems for data managementParticipate in reverse engineering and design improvementsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field6 8 years of experience in product design (preferably automotive domain)Strong hands-on experience with:Creo (Part, Assembly, Surfacing)GD&T and manufacturing drawingsExperience in automotive product development preferredKnowledge of PPAP, ECN, prototyping, and validation processes is a plusFamiliarity with 3DEXPERIENCE / Windchill preferred
