This is an opportunity to be a key player at a pivotal time in our company's growth.Come join the disruption, make your mark, and be a part of the amazing team introducing the new era of data storage!RESPONSIBILITIESThe role has a particular focus on commercial technology contracts.Providing legal advice on a variety of legal matters with a primary emphasis on drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements for customers, partners and suppliers.Reviewing, drafting and negotiating various standard and non-standard contracts and related documents in support of business needs and initiatives. Representative agreement types are as follows: Software licensing agreements; Master Services Agreement, Non-Disclosure Agreement, vendor agreements, marketing agreements, distribution, resale and other channel agreements.Identify commercial, legal and compliance risks arising from existing and contemplated commercial transactions and initiatives.Monitoring legal, legislative and regulatory trends applicable to the business (i.e. data privacy, security and data protection laws).Work with other departments across the globe to ensure consistency of advice.Reporting matters as required to the Legal DirectorLeading with other legal and compliance projects as requested.RequirementsLaw degree from an accredited law school and active licence to practice law8+ years in a similar roleExcellent written and oral, negotiation and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize high priority tasksAbility to hit the ground running and enjoying working alongside senior stakeholdersHigh level of attention to detail and ability to work independently and also to be part of a team.Prior in-house experience in a fast-paced environment working to tight deadlinesEnthusiastic and self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and a willing helpful attitudeUnderstands business challenges and works to develop sensible and commercially reasonable compromise positionsInternational experience and data privacy expertise are desired but not essential
