Human Resources Generalist

Alsum Produce is recruiting for an HR Generalist for its location in Friesland WI. This is an onsite position working 8am - 5pm. Administer the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) Department including full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, administering benefits & leave, and supporting company policies and procedures. Exceeding expectations every day.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS) DatabaseConduct full-cycle recruiting including creation & posting of job ads, phone screens, scheduling interviews, and drafting offer letters for approvalCoordinate and administer onboarding process including paperwork, training, drug screen appointments, and conduct new hire orientationsMaintain and create employee badgesAttend/assist with career fairs and recruiting eventsAssist with maintaining and updating job descriptionsAdminister & coordinate Alsum branded clothing store launches and order merchandiser apparelAssist with Migrant Camp operations, applications, Inspections & UpkeepEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and company policies and procedures.Complete employment verification requestsProcess and administer termination process ensuring terminations are completed accurately and timelyAdminister and process leaves including but not limited to personal leaves and FMLA, Short/Long Term DisabilityManage vacation balancesAssist employees with HRIS utilizationAdminister benefits and processes including HRIS open enrollment auditsManage monthly employee birthday and anniversary process including lists and distributionAdminister Good Will Benefits administration of flowers and giftsCoordinate annual Health Risk AssessmentCoordinate annual Years of Service AwardsProcess Intercompany billingPerform duties of Chairperson for Wellness Committee including leading, planning and documenting activityWork with Human Resource Manager on Employee Relations issues as neededEnsure proper filing and electronic entry of HR files/documents in paper files and HRIS DatabasePerform other related duties as necessary or assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelors degree in human resources or related fieldTwo five years experience in Human Resources role or related fieldCombination of education and experience will also be consideredSHRM/HRCI Certification preferredREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
