Benefits Specialist

The nature of the position involves administering and maintaining company benefits programs. The duties are moderately complex and require both independence and collaboration.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Configuration of life events in the HRIS (UKG) on annual basis to reflect updates and changes to the benefits plans.Configuration and monitoring of weekly file fees including addressing errors.Informing and guiding employees on benefits matters regarding eligibility, coverage, and provisions of the plans.Monitoring employee enrollment for accuracy during both open enrollment and throughout the year (new hires, qualifying life events, etc.)Ensuring that employee enrollment data is accurate and up to date in both the HRIS and on all the external vendor sites.Administering leaves of absence (FMLA, STD, LTD, etc.)Responsible for compliance reporting (ACA, etc.)Compiling and maintaining benefits records and documentation.Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma required.Associate or bachelor's degree2-5 years' experience in a similar role.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.4-7 years' experience in a similar role.Experience with UKG (HRIS).
