SQL Database Administrator

We are seeking a hands-on Database Administrator (DBA) to support, administer, and optimize enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong Microsoft SQL Server experience and experience working across multiple database platforms. Lennox, Cassandra, and Snowflake experience are highly preferred.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Administer, maintain, and support enterprise database environments, with a primary focus on Microsoft SQL Server.• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain database platforms.• Design and support database clusters, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.• Manage backup, restore, recovery, replication, and business continuity processes.• Monitor and optimize database performance, capacity, availability, and reliability.• Troubleshoot complex database and application issues and perform root-cause analysis.• Support database migrations, consolidations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.• Develop scripts and automation for database administration and operational tasks, including the use of AI-enabled tools.• Support database security, governance, compliance, auditing, and risk-management requirements.• Collaborate with developers, engineers, and system analysts to resolve issues and improve system performance.• Maintain technical documentation and provide guidance and training to system users.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• 3+ years of hands-on enterprise database administration experience.• Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience is required.• Experience with multiple database platforms, including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and Snowflake.• Strong knowledge of database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, HA/DR, clustering, backup, and recovery.• Experience with performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.• Experience supporting production environments with high availability requirements.• Strong understanding of database security, governance, and regulatory compliance.• Experience with scripting and automation.• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
