Overview: Responsible for providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards. Duty assignments vary and include, but are not limited to front office and back office functions. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program Required or In Lieu of formal education program, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience is Required Work Experience1 year of experience in a medical office setting with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program.
