Clinical Pharmacist - Inpatient Acute Care Services (Evenings)Ensures the safe and effective use of medications by providing medication order verification while assessing for optimal drug product selection dosage regimen design effective administration and drug therapy monitoring services in the UVA Medical Center. Monitors inpatient and outpatient drug therapies when appropriate and works with relating medical staff to find alternatives when needed to ensure the best care possible is being given. This position is for the evening shift, and the anticipated schedule arrangement is four 10-hour shifts (12:00pm-10:30pm). This position is Monday-Thursday with no weekend requirement and no overnight requirement.Provides clinical pharmaceutical care to a variety of patients including surgery and cardiology service lines. Enhances the quality of delivery of care. Demonstrates proficiency in Pharmacy distributive services. Supports the educational and professional development of the Pharmacy department. Engages in professional self-development. In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.Why Join UVA Health? D Degree required.Experience: PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience. (3.years). PGY-2 residency is preferred for specialty areas.Licensure/Certifications: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy. License required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider. BLS certification requiredPhysical Demands - Job requires sitting for prolonged periods; Repetitive motion: typing. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull Onboarding Requirements Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen. The starting base rate for this role is $64.37 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
