Program & Development ManagerHeart of CamdenCamden, NJJob Type: Full-TimeReports To: Executive DirectorPosition SummaryHeart of Camden is seeking a Program & Development Manager to lead fundraising and oversee key community-based programs.This role is responsible for securing funding through grants, sponsorships, donor cultivation, and events, while ensuring strong coordination and oversight of major program areas, including NRTC-funded community engagement work under the Catch the Wave Neighborhood Plan and programming connected to the Michael J. Doyle Fieldhouse.The Program & Development Manager will also lead planning and execution of the Heart of Camden Annual Golf Classic and work across staff, board members, consultants, and partners to strengthen both program delivery and revenue generation.Core Responsibilities1. Fundraising, Grants, and Revenue DevelopmentIdentify, write, and submit grant proposals to support Heart of Camden’s core program areas, including community engagement, youth programming, and neighborhood-based initiativesManage a live grant calendar, including deadlines, submissions, awards, reporting requirements, and complianceDevelop and manage sponsor outreach and follow-upSupport donor cultivation and stewardship in coordination with the Executive DirectorHelp build and strengthen unrestricted fundraising strategies tied to annual goals2. Heart of Camden Annual Golf ClassicServe as the lead staff person for the Heart of Camden Annual Golf ClassicCoordinate planning, sponsorship outreach, event logistics, timelines, and follow-upWork closely with board members, consultants, and internal staff to ensure the event is well organized and financially successfulTrack sponsorship commitments, event revenue, and post-event reporting3. NRTC and Catch the Wave Program OversightOversee community-facing programs funded through Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit (NRTC) resourcesCoordinate program implementation tied to the Catch the Wave Neighborhood PlanEnsure programming aligns with grant commitments, neighborhood priorities, and reporting requirementsSupport execution of resident engagement, outreach activities, and neighborhood-based initiatives4. Michael J. Doyle Fieldhouse OversightOversee program coordination connected to the Michael J. Doyle FieldhouseWork with the staff responsible for day-to-day operations to ensure programming is organized, aligned, and supportedHelp connect Fieldhouse programming to funding opportunities, community goals, and organizational reporting needsMonitor program activity, participation, and operational needs at the Fieldhouse5. Staff Supervision and CoordinationSupervise the Community Engagement CoordinatorProvide direction, accountability, and support to ensure community engagement work is consistent and effectiveCoordinate with other staff supporting CRM, events, and programs so work stays aligned and moving6. CRM, Data, and ReportingWork with staff to maintain and strengthen the Arreva CRM donor databaseEnsure donor, sponsor, event, and program data is accurate and currentProduce monthly internal reports on grants, fundraising activity, sponsorships, and program performanceSupport leadership and board reporting with accurate, timely informationRequired Qualifications3–7 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, program management, or related fieldDemonstrated experience writing and managing grantsExperience planning and coordinating eventsExperience working with sponsors, donors, or fundraising campaignsStrong organizational and project management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to supervise staff and coordinate across teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience with community development, neighborhood-based programming, or resident engagementFamiliarity with NRTC-funded work or similar grant-funded community initiativesExperience supporting youth, arts, or family programmingFamiliarity with CRM systems, especially ArrevaKnowledge of Camden and South Jersey communities is a plusOrganization OverviewHeart of Camden is a nonprofit community development organization focused on affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization, and resident-serving programs in South Camden.
