Epic Testing Project Manager12 Month ContractRemote - with occasional travelJob SummaryThe Epic Testing Project Manager will lead and oversee enterprise-wide testing execution for a large-scale Epic implementation. This role provides centralized oversight and governance of all testing activities across clinical, revenue cycle, and ancillary domains, ensuring alignment across workstreams and adherence to program milestones. This individual will be responsible for establishing and managing the integrated testing framework, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving accountability for testing deliverables across multiple stakeholder groups. The role requires close partnership with internal build teams, operational leadership, and consulting partners to ensure workflows are validated, risks are identified early, and readiness criteria are achieved prior to go-live. The Epic Testing Project Manager will serve as the primary point of accountability for testing progress, risk tracking, defect trends, environment readiness, and executive-level reporting. This individual will operate within a structured governance model, ensuring transparency, proactive escalation, and disciplined milestone management throughout all phases of testing and conversion support.ResponsibilitiesProvide full lifecycle management and cross-functional coordination of all Epic testing activitiesManages to testing project plan (timeline, waves, milestones, dependencies)Coordinates resources (application testers, SMEs, etc.) and resolves conflictsTakes point on status, RAID (risks/assumptions/issues/dependencies), decision logs, escalationTracks to environment readiness and dependencies (availability windows, refreshes, access)Owns reporting (progress vs plan, pass/fail, defect aging, readiness dashboards)Required QualificationsDemonstrated experience managing large-scale Epic testing efforts for enterprise wide implementations in a complex healthcare environmentProven oversight of Epic testing cycles and conversion support activities8–10+ years of project management experience leading multiple programs across the full information systems lifecycle (including - but not limited to - testing)Experience managing enterprise-scale initiatives within a complex healthcare delivery systemStrong experience in:Developing testing plans, schedules, and executive presentationsBudget creation (capital and operational) and milestone reportingVendor oversight and coordination of cross-functional project teamsGovernance reporting, decision documentation, and escalation managementImplementation and use of project management and testing tools (e.g., Teams, testing trackers, issue management systems)Demonstrated ability to lead teams through detailed testing and conversion readiness activities
