Director, Associate General Counsel

OverviewJob PurposeThis Director, Associate General Counsel will report to the General Counsel in the ICE Mortgage Technology business unit as an integral member of a small legal team that negotiates complex contracts for our enterprise mortgage technology SaaS solutions. This role requires full-time, in-office attendance in any of our Jacksonville, FL (preferred); Provo, UT; or Atlanta, GA offices, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (NYSE: ICE) is a Fortune 500 financial technology company that operates a global network of exchanges (including the New York Stock Exchange), clearing houses, data services, and a mortgage technology platform servicing the U.S. residential mortgage market.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain an expert level of domain expertise over commercial contracting enabling both advocacy on behalf of the business with key customers and execution of business objectives with executive managementDraft and negotiate a variety of customer and partner agreements, with a focus on the company’s most strategic, valuable, and complicated transactionsGain a detailed understanding of the company’s solutions and work with product and technology leaders to ensure alignment with contractsAct as a strategic partner and advisor, providing thoughtful and prompt legal and business guidance to all internal go-to-market stakeholdersWork collaboratively with other members of the legal team to address additional needs of the company, including helping to adopt new technologies and update templates and processes to better integrate with other divisions of the business unitKnowledge And ExperienceLaw degree from an accredited U.S. law school and member in good standing in applicable state bar association8+ years law firm and/or in-house experience, preferably counseling a technology companyPrior experience at a major law firm strongly preferredEnterprise SaaS experience and/or experience negotiating with financial institutions is strongly preferredExcellent drafting, negotiation, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsAbility to lead diverse teams through complex negotiations of enterprise sales deals, keeping all tasks organized and stakeholders clearly informed of deliverables and timelinesComfort with handling topics such as revenue recognition, data privacy, and information security in customer contracts (partnering with relevant subject matter experts as necessary)Ability to understand business objectives and think creatively to find practical resolutionsSelf-starter and able to work well independently and as part of a teamIntercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
