We value product-focused engineers that thrive by wrangling complex problems into simple solutions.‍As a Data Engineer You WillHave no less than three years experience coding in one of: Python, JavaScript/Typescript, C++, C#, or other similar languageHave experience with object oriented concepts and object oriented language constructsAdhere to software system best practices to ensure functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and supportabilitySatisfy functional and non-functional requirements of downstream and upstream teamsDesign, implement, test, document, and maintain ETL/Integration software systemsMonitor, version, and ensure the quality of data from each data sourceProvide data interfaces to core data structures for internal and external applicationsMonitor, version, and facilitate data changes conducted by our teamsProvide technical guidance for all proposed, existing, and deprecated software systems to ensure adherence to software system best practicesParticipate in your team’s on-call rotation, including team meetings, triage sessions, and addressing production issues as they arise, etc.‍We Are Looking For People Who HaveA detail oriented personalityBackend software engineer experience with a proven track record of architecting, implementing, optimizing, deploying, and maintaining ETL solutions.Proficiency in Python and/or JavascriptFamiliarity with commercial ETL or similar Integration toolsProficiency with relational databases (similar to Postgres, Oracle, or SQL Server) and SQL (both Data Manipulation Language and Data Definition Language).Familiarity with Entity Relationship Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, and other such specification documents.The ability to rapidly prototype and adjust in response to customer feedbackExperience in communicating with customers to collect requirements and describe software featuresStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skills‍Bonus Points If You Have Experience WithKubernetesWorking on a data driven product backed by Machine Learning or Artificial IntelligenceExperience with HL7Experience with Cloud ProvidersWorking as an engineer in healthcare, or in highly regulated industries that require strict data privacy regulations‍Compensation will be competitive to the market and will consist of cash as well as benefits.
