Full-Time Locum Coverage Mon Thurs Schedule Minimal Inpatient A well-established oncology practice in Waterloo, Iowa is seeking a Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained Hematologist/Oncologist for a full-time locum assignment. Schedule Overview Monday Thursday 16 shifts per month8-hour shiftsClinic hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PMPotential phone-only call:One weeknight rotationOne weekend per month Hospitalists admit all patients Inpatient consults are rare Practice Setting Outpatient-focused oncology practiceEMR: EPIC4 exam rooms2 Advanced Practice Providers (no supervision required)Strong nursing ratio: 2 nurses per providerDedicated referral, triage, lab, social work, and dietician support Patient Volume clinic patients per day0 2 inpatient census on averageFollow-ups: minutesNew consults: 60 minutesAdult population (18+) Scope of Practice New oncology and hematology consultsFollow-up careOversee administration of antineoplasticsPerform bone marrow biopsiesProvide IV IgG, iron therapy, and phlebotomiesCollaborate with multidisciplinary team Teaching opportunities available Requirements Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology Fellowship Trained in Hematology & Oncology Active Iowa License or IMLC Must be able to perform bone marrow biopsies NPDB Self-Query within 30 days (required at presentation) Experience highly preferred (new grads considered) ️ Travel & Logistics Travel assistance availableLodging support providedRental car or mileage reimbursement available Why Consider This Opportunity?
