This role focuses on organizing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work by developing detailed job plans, securing materials and resources, and aligning schedules with production needs. The Maintenance Planner serves as a key link between maintenance, operations, and materials management, ensuring work is properly scoped, prioritized, and ready for execution. Success in this role is measured by improved asset reliability, schedule compliance, reduced emergency repairs, and optimized maintenance costs.Job DescriptionDevelop detailed maintenance job plans, including labor estimates, task sequences, tools, permits, and safety requirementsPlan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work to maximize equipment availabilityCoordinate maintenance schedules with operations to minimize production impactEnsure required parts, materials, and services are identified and available prior to job executionMaintain and continuously improve preventive maintenance strategies and asset historiesUse the CMMS to manage work orders, schedules, and maintenance dataPrioritize maintenance work based on asset criticality, risk, and operational impactTrack key performance indicators (KPIs) such as schedule compliance, backlog, and equipment downtimeSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, safety, and cost controlCollaborate with supervisors, technicians, engineers, and vendors to ensure effective execution of maintenance workAll other duties assigned by Supervisor or Manager.What will it takeEducation:High school diploma or equivalent.Experience:Technical background in maintenance, reliability, or engineering (mechanical, electrical, or industrial preferred)Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance environmentStrong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practicesProficiency with CMMS systems and maintenance planning toolsExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to analyze data, prioritize work, and manage multiple schedulesStrong focus on safety, quality, and reliabilitySpecial Requirements and Independency:Must show great leadership skills.Great organizational skills.Be available to work overtime, weekends, off shifts and call outs when necessary. Valid driver’s licensePhysical Requirements:Must be able to stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop, squat, climb ladders, ramps & stairs, push and pull, reach at or below waist level and occasionally overhead, drive (forklift), hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds (machinery alarms).
