Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Job Type: Contract with possible extension Shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm ( 8 hours Evening Shift) Guaranteed Hours: 40 hrs/week Pay rate: $30 - $40/hr Location: Everett, MA 02149 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization, decontamination, and handling of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Your expertise will help maintain the highest standards of infection prevention and control, supporting safe patient care and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Perform decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and reprocessing of surgical instruments, endoscopes, and medical equipment following strict aseptic techniques. Assemble, inspect, package, and label sterile instruments and supplies in accordance with established protocols. Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies and medical instruments, ensuring timely replenishment and proper storage. Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and sterilizers while adhering to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. Maintain detailed documentation of sterilization cycles, instrument tracking, and quality assurance records. Follow infection prevention protocols to minimize contamination risks during all processing activities. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure all sterilized instruments meet safety and readiness standards for surgical procedures.
